Neon Nightmares

Concept: “Chromatic smatterings grow stronger and brighter and blindingly vibrant even after the sun passes.
This is when the Neon Nightmares swarm.”
Content: Your typical swarm of kaleidoscopic phantasmagoria.
Writing: Concise rules text. Glyphs form associations, unify design, and save space.
Art/design: A visually striking (and thematically appropriate) mixture of neon creatures, desaturated victims and heavy line weights.
Usability: May require the invention of entirely new colors.

Parasitic Infestation at Flame Tongue Temple

Concept: “From the safety of her chamber… the Mother preaches of the gifts Consumer may bestow upon her luckiest of followers.”
Content: A tongue-gets-eat survival horror dungeon crawl. An arsenal of religious paraphernalia.
Writing: The history and rites of a mysterious cult. A cathedral turned labyrinth. A parasite that thrives in dark and wet places.
Art/design: Gritty gothic structure with occasional baroque elements. Illustrations which contrast in their perverse clarity.
Usability: Dark, light, and full color. Digital and printable options available.

Slaughterhouse Citadel

Concept: “Inspired by Death's album Scream Bloody Gore”
Content:
Includes 11 rooms, 10  tables for room clutter and wandering monsters (just in case the other hazards and inhabitants weren’t lethal enough)
Writing:
Descriptions of rooms and inhabitants are filled with grim, gritty, multi-sensory imagery
Art/design:
Features loads of original art; palette is dominated by red and muted yellow, creating a gory and noxious ambience
Usability:
Incorporates high-level internal links in ToC and at the bottom of pages for fast navigation; random monster table includes page references for print-inclined GMs

The Golden Razor Syndicate

“Anonymous ‘assassins’ privileged to be of noble birth they wrongly believe their selfish arrogant founder is the one true king”

The King of Sweet Death

Concept: “Grizzly skeletons fluidly dance ballet while spinning their scythes and hacking away chunks of themselves.”
Content:
A violent tornado of scythes and meat
Writing:
Provides lore and a vivid description of the creature in action; special attack and defense rules are concise but clear
Art/design:
Single column of text lets the figure and apocalyptic scenery dominate the page
Usability:
Wildcard!

The Loss of All Hope

Concept: “Rules inspired by the sanity or stress systems in various RPGs.”
Content: Words to lose hope by.
Writing: A fatal descent into bad habits and hopelessness.
Art/design: Violent imagery and sharp design in stark red-and-white across a weeping void.
Usability: Simple and self-contained. Jagged font makes for a delicate read.

The Ocean Axe

Concept: “Constructed from the skeletal corpse of the Manta Ray Lich, this mighty axe gives its wielder the powers of the endless ocean.”
Content: An axe borne from the endless sea.
Writing: Powerful and dripping with flavor and abysmal drawbacks.
Art/design: A vibrant, energetic visual design with a mildly distressed but aesthetic layout.
Usability: Simple, legible, intuitive.

The Xorb

Concept: “Repulsive though they may be, these sage like blasphemies are as intelligent as any woman, and wiser than any man.”
Content:
A pair of strange creations, hinged and bottled
Writing:
Contains some lore but mostly devoted to stats and effects of successful attacks against them
Art/design:
Layout regulates text to a half-frame, putting focus on the illustrations of these bio-mechanical constructs against chromatically dead landscapes and cataclysmic skies
Usability:
More complex than some monsters, but creates a more granular combat experience

What’s Black As Night

Concept:
“Pine trees rearranging,
Permafrost crushing,
Colorful berries dot the void,
Bitter winds howl on frozen trees,
Red stain of fresh kill,
Snowfall entombs.”
Content: A frigid, howling, blood-splattered forest crawl.
Writing: A Grimm amalgamation of storybook wolves in all their gory detail.
Art/design: A vivid hybridization of illustration styles splattered in blood and red text.
Usability: Available in full-color gothic and plain text. With a player map and bonus wallpaper.
