Art/design: Dark, textured, and occasionally effervescent images of spectral manifestations.
Usability: Deep vertical shafts with helpful mini-maps add utility and visual suspense.

Concept: “These are the field notes of the famously reclusive Occult Herbmaster Garth Grimgar, found in the ruins of his hut years after his death.”
Content: An Herbmaster’s guide to 16 flora and fauna and their medicinal use.
Writing: Decoctions and their mechanics cleverly disguised as field observations.
Art/design: Weathered, hand-inked visual style achieves a found document aesthetic

Graven-Tosk Gravöl
Concept: “Brewed by twice-dead druug monks in dank Grift chambers. Imbibed only at funerals or heretical sacrificial rituals.”
Content: A Mörk Borg Smoked Stout as black as Nechrubel’s heart.

Art/design: Dark, bold, graven, heretical.
Usability: Stjørdal and Gotlandsdricka malts, foraged juniper, all run through a traditional Kuurna. Available in Cognition's taproom in Ishpeming, MI. Worth a trip.
Johan’s Forest
Concept: “A mini adventure and a callback to Ancient Skin”
Content: A desperately venomous little pointcrawl.
Writing: Head-turning depictions like, “At night they merge into one giant bird-snake."
Art/design: Miserable little trees, a filthy little creek, and a few other happy little accidents.
Usability: A quick sketch for an in-media-res forest crawl.

Concept: “Delve into the Halls of Droning Bone! Get lost in the Interstitial Tracts! Harvest the power of a localized solar phenomenon! Talk to a sentient slime mold! Wield the magic of effects pedals!
All these curiosities and more yet await in this crenelated and conjured cylinder.”
Content: A modular viscerolithic tower crawl of perpetual aspect.
Writing: Four luxuriously stylized tower floors with enough material to stand alone anywhere in the dying world, wrapped delicately in the glacial resolve of a wizard’s decadent solipsism.
Art/design: N/A The tower is reconstituting itself and remains plain text… for now.
Usability: Can be consumed in a single grand adventure, or cracked open to pick away at as you please.

Art/design: A dingy street alchemist's lab draped in boxed text.
Usability: His wares could be worth quite a lot to the right buyers.

Concept: “A quarterly publication that focuses its cyclopean gaze on a single system with every issue”
Content: “A journey through dilapidated townsteads, rejuvenated fields and terrifying dungeons, with all the horrors you meet along the way”
Writing: The pedagogy of planting and population planning, and a forgotten temple to begotten basilisks, all aggressively annotated.
Art/design: Darkly grotesque cultists, disturbed floral prints, cultured public domain illustrations, and colorful marginalia highlight the body text.
Usability: Organized, aside from a few intentionally frustrating almanac charts. But I’m sure you can manage those with a little old-fashioned spit and polish.

Usability: Bordered text over illustrations may hinder legibility.

Content: Rules for monster-of-the-week play, unique scvm advancement, and tools of evisceration.
Writing: Disgustingly evocative prose, disturbingly flexible mechanics, and visceral handouts.
Art/design: Bloody two-tone style with art and layout that’s both slick and gritty.
Usability: Separate player rules handout to facilitate spoiler free reference. Hunting seal handouts provide quick visual cue of advanced character abilities and role in a hunting party.

"‘YOU REPUGNANT HUNTERS’ has rules and some sticky flavor for running a dark/metal fantasy campaign where players acquire hunting seals which allow them to hunt monstrosities too putrid for the average hero. Hunters undergo a ritual to get a Hunting Insignia which will determine their style of hunting and type of prey. Hunting down and ceremonially eviscerating unique prey will lead to appeasing a Hunting Insignia, and gaining occult powers and gross-yet-handy items."
